About me

Hello!

I’m Dani Esperiqueta, a 22-year-old photographer based in New Braunfels, Texas. Unlike the classic “I’ve had a camera in my hand since birth” story, my path to photography wasn’t quite so clear. I got my first camera when I was twelve, but back then, it was just a fun way to see the world—not a career plan. I bounced between dreams of becoming a firefighter, a nurse, a therapist—basically anything that would make my parents proud and help others. I ended up in college studying psychology, but deep down, I knew it wasn’t where I was meant to be.
Between classes and homework, I found myself constantly reaching for my camera. Photography became my escape, my happy place. Eventually, I realized that making others happy had to start with finding my own joy first. So, I made the leap, changed my major, and now I’m pursuing a bachelor’s degree in photography at Texas State University. My goal is simple: to give my clients more than just beautiful images. I want to capture those raw, real, in-between moments—the ones that make you feel something every time you look at them. Photography is my way of hitting pause on life’s chaos and giving you memories you’ll treasure forever.
My Background

I was born in Brunswick, Maine, but my family moved to San Antonio, Texas, when I was two years old. Now, I’m settled in New Braunfels with my partner, enjoying our first home together and serving the wonderful communities in the surrounding towns and cities. I’m currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in photography with a minor in business administration at Texas State University, combining my creative passion with the skills to build a strong and sustainable business.
My love for photography started at home, surrounded by the stories captured in my family’s photos. My grandpa would create beautiful slideshows of his travels, and my dad—who bought me my first camera—would share photos from my childhood. As I grew older, I realized the true magic of photography lies in its ability to freeze time, preserving moments for our future selves and our loved ones. This is what inspires my work today: capturing the real, raw, and beautifully imperfect moments that tell your story so they can be cherished for generations to come.
